Thank you to KABA-San Diego for endorsing me as NAPABA President-Elect! NAPABA has been undergoing unprecedented growth these last 3-4 years, and I have been a key leader in helping to achieve that growth. I strongly believe I am the best candidate for NAPABA President-Elect based on my: 1) four-plus years of recent Board experience as Northeast RG and VP for Programs & Operations, 2) strong continuity of leadership, 3) consensus-building leadership style, and 4) detailed initiatives to further the advancement of our NAPABA members and grow the strong advocacy work NAPABA does for the Asian community, which are well-aligned with NAPABA’s Strategic Plan, for NAPABA’s even greater success in the years to come. Many NAPABA leaders agree and are endorsing me in their personal capacity including past NAPABA Presidents such as Wendy Shiba, Leadership Advisory Council members such as Ivan Fong, Dale Minami, and Linda Mar Weidman, current and incoming NAPABA Board members such as Lloyd Costales and Eugene Kim, and Committee Chairs such as Tirzah Lowe, solo and small firm pioneers such as 2014 award winner John Lim, prominent in-house counsel such as Sandra Leung, and government attorneys such as David Louie as well as 7 affiliates across North America (KABA-San Diego, APABA-DC, APALA-NJ, AABA of Houston, AAABA (Arizona affiliate), FACL (Toronto, Canada affiliate), and LAPABA (Louisiana affiliate)). For further details about my experience and vision as NAPABA President, my candidate statement can be found at, and feel free to contact me at with any questions. KABA-SD Endorses Alexander Lee and Steven Reeves for NAPABA’s Vice President of Finance & Development

August 29th, 2014 No comments

KABA-SD vetted both candidates and the Board has voted to endorse Alexander Lee and Steven Reeves for the position of Vice President of Finance & Development in the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) elections:

Alexander Lee is NAPABA’s current Vice President of Finance and Development, and is again running for this position. As Alex sees it, the primary function of this position is fundraising and business development. He believes that continuity with respect to this position is beneficial because of the need to develop relationships with sponsors. Alex has already developed relationships with sponsors and is already ahead in sponsorships in terms of dollar amounts.

Steven Reeves is currently a NAPABA board member and believes that he has the experience and skills to hold this position. As a law firm partner, Steven routinely utilizes his networking and business development skills. Steven believes that these skills will benefit the organization.

The KABA-SD Board is confident that both Alex and Steven would strengthen NAPABA if elected Vice President of Finance & Development.
