Our community, both the Korean American community and our San Diego community, was struck by tragedy on Monday, December 8, 2008, when a military jet crashed into a home in University City and killed three generations of a family. Dong Yun Yoon lost his wife, Youngmi Yoon, his two children, Grace (15 months) and Rachel (6 weeks), and his mother in law, Suk Im Kim. Last night a memorial service was held at the family’s church, the Korean United Methodist Church of San Diego. Funeral services are still pending.
